Since retiring as a theatre scenery and costume designer, I have sometimes worked hard at painting pictures, and like to think that people can now look at them.
I sold quite a few, mostly of people working in factories and on building sites, but nowadays I am not trying particularly to sell them, being really old and probably having enough money to see me out.
In the past, after a varied designing career, I ended up working a lot for children’s theatre and television. This fitted in rather well with having four of my own. I contributed towards some of the early Dr Who episodes and designed the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon.

Well done Jenifer! A lovely set of paintings. Terrel says he hadn’t realised the variety and the rich imagination displayed in all your work. We were very impressed – still love the two painting of yours that grace our house here. Love Patricia and Terrel
Glad to find you this is wonderful I shall look at more now. love Margaret
